North St. The first block north of West Street.Comments...
You can see the Christmas lights strung across North St. This is when North St. was the shopping hub of Pittsfield and at Christmas time it was very active. England Brothers Department store which can be seen on the left side of the street always had a beautiful Christmas display which usually had moving parts in their front window. The lights at night and all the bustle gave North Street a very special Christmas warmth and glow at that time of year.
