Theresa King, 90

 

Theresa Janet (Contois) King 90, of Clarksburg, MA. died Saturday May 4, 2024 at Berkshire Medical Center.

She was born in North Adams on May 2, 1934 a daughter of the late Mathias and Mariange (Robert) Contois. Theresa attended schools in Clarksburg and also attended Drury High School in North Adams. She was employed at the Sprague Electric Co. and was last employed for Excelsior Processing and Engraving Co. in North Adams retiring in 1996.

Theresa was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and later at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church both in North Adams, she enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.

Her husband Francis King whom she married on May 30, 1953 in Notre Dame Church died December 9, 2011. Survivors include her loving sons Wayne King and his wife, Luanne of Stratham, NH. And Gary King and his wife Rebecca of Florida, MA., grandchildren Nicolette, Kara, Logan, Sara three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by her sister Cecile Bombardier and brothers Gerald Contois and Roger Contois.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday May 10, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, Ma. A Calling Hour will take from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Elizabeth Church. Memorial donations are suggested for the Clarksburg Volunteer Fire Company through the funeral home. Aunt Theresa was one of my favorite people...so kind, funny, and full of stories. I loved hearing my father's memories of her from when he was a kid and how welcome she made him feel. It gives me peace to know she's with Uncle Fran and the rest of the King family <3
